Extensive Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus Syndrome with Multiple Gastrointestinal Venous Malformations: A Case Report
Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome is a sporadic disease with widely distributed dark blue papules and nodules and soft skin-colored compressible protuberances (rubber blebs) as well as large vascular malformations. Gasterointestinal lesions are documented by upper endoscopy and colonoscopy; hemorrhages from these lesions create irondeficinecy anemia. Other sites of visceral involvement are less c...
متن کاملA malignant melanoma associated with a blue nevus of the lip.
Blue nevi are characterized by a collection of pigment-producing melanocytes in the dermis. These lesions clinically present as well demarcated cerulean-blue or bluish black colored papules or plaques that usually measure less than 1 cm in diameter. They are typically found on the dorsal surface of the hands and feet or in the head and neck region; however, they are rarely found in the oral cav...
متن کاملAn unusual case of congenital dermal melanocytosis.
Dermal melanocytosis is characterized by the presence of ectopic melanocytes in the dermis. The most common forms include the Mongolian spot, blue nevus, nevus of Ota, and nevus of Ito. Some types of dermal melanocytosis do not fit into any of these morphologic categories, however. Our case demonstrated an extensive amount of uniform deep blue patches of nevi with unilateral distribution on the...
متن کاملBlue Nevus with a Dermoscopic Appearance of Peripheral Streaks with Branches

Dermoscopic appearance commonly shows global patterns as homogeneous mono/dichromatic pigmentation and multichromatic pigmentation. Here, we report the case of a blue nevus with the dermoscopic feature of peripheral streaks with branches. With histopatholog...
متن کاملCommon Blue Nevus with Satellite Lesions Needs a Differential Diagnosis from Malignant Melanoma
Malignant blue nevus is rare, and a common blue nevus rarely needs a differential diagnosis from malignant melanoma. Although a melanocytic nevus with a satellite lesion is usually suggestive of a peripherally disseminating malignant melanoma, very few cases of blue nevus with satellite lesions have been reported thus far. To our knowledge, this is the seventh case of a blue nevus with satellit...
